Lady Anna-Katharina approached the camp of the East Blackwood and Realms Embassies during the summer campaign 17 n.d.E. to Methraton Thul and inquired about the possibility of a job in diplomacy.  Ambassador Dagger explained the available positions and explained how the Blackwood rank structure functioned within the Embassy and its holdings.  Lady Anna-Katharina agreed to the terms and her and her retinue have been giving apartments within the Embassy at Grian Quihenya in the Western Seal.

As the girl was born, it was obvious - her fate's been clear before she even had a consciousness. Women from noble families usually have to be supervised 24/7 until they marry and then, often they're bound to their partner... Anna was mainly raised by her maid from Bornland, who introduced her to different cultures and a teacher of social studies, who had a passion for philosophy, psychology and politics. The parents von Rabenau generally were rather busy and didn't spent much time with their children.

Even though Anna-Katharina never really had a lot of contact to her father, she knew that he is a tyrant, hungry for power, an overbearing sociopath.  While her mother is in fact quite calm, but also judgemental and has high expectations from both Anna and her brother.  Already as Anna-Katharina was a toddler she loved painting, self-expression, theater, all kinds of tales and poetry.  She found a way to escape in art and books.

Anna was also generally interested in different personalities, the way they interact and why a person behaves as it does.  To her, every individual seemed to be interesting.  She tries to be neutral with strangers first and find ways to understand their opinion, since everyone is an expert at something...  But due to her temperament - she can state her mind if something is really absurd in her eyes.

But of course the noble life-style gave this girl some dramatic behavior and unconsciously made her somewhat of a Diva in some situations, which seems to be annoying for some.  You can't call this girl an extrovert, but Anna-Katharina was always very curious to hear some stories.  She also liked helping others solve their personal problems. At least attempting to.

The young noble actually wished to someday leave her parent's place and see the world, all the creatures that existed...  Basically to have somewhat of a more interesting life.  Unfortunately as she was a bit older, her father planned a political wedding to profit from his daughter.  The girl was promised to someone she never even saw or heard of.  This was nothing unusual for a noble female but she wanted to escape instead of being chained to her future husband.  She wouldn't give in to that anguish.

Very long arguments between the young members of the family and their parents took place. Unpleasant mental punishments started to be something regular.   "Will in the fist - thoughts are torn in different directions.  Black crows wander across the room.  Feelings gather and solidify on the ceiling and at once they crash upon the head of their victim.  Fully conscious, not losing ones mind.  Breathing poison along with air.  The fog won't disappear with time."

Those were the words Anna once noted in her diary.  Robert and Maria made their children feel broken and dirty for showing deviant-like behavior.  As the day of marriage came, the universe finally played along and as Anna traveled with her brother and some maids/guards to another land - the carriages were attacked, but the young earls could escape by luck.  They also met two very unusual mercenaries and a young alchemist, who helped them recover.

A decision was made - the two nobles wanted to travel and gain plenty of connections/experience, get to know life outside the walls...  So that later, they can come back. And maybe be better counts than their parents.  Robert and Maria are looking for the 'lost' earls, but usually those siblings find protection and with help manage to convince the parents, that time is required and right now - traveling home or to the location where Annas marriage had to taken place is more dangerous than anything else. Which was partly true.

Later on, after recovering the group traveled to Mythodea.  There the girl met many new interesting identities, but also gained nightmares from a ritual, that was supposed to get rid of an effect - caused by medical drugs, which were given to her by a doctor, who helped her to get rid of a magical ban, or better to say an obsession spell, which was accidentally cast.  Long and confusing story...  The issue was that usually Anna often slept to escape the reality and to calm down.  There is a quote she likes "All I know is that while I'm asleep, I'm never afraid, and I have no hopes, no struggles, no glories - and bless the man who invented sleep, a cloak over all human thought, food that drives away hunger, water that banishes thirst, fire that heats up cold, chill that moderates passion, and, finally, universal currency with which all things can be bought, weight and balance that brings the shepherd and the king, the fool and the wise, to the same level. There's only one bad thing about sleep, as far as I've ever heard, and that is that it resembles death, since there's very little difference between a sleeping man and a corpse".

And now Annas dreams are cursed, poisoned. She can't get much rest like that, even though she already got another kind of medicine, which is supposed to slowly erase the nightmare, that is haunting the girl every night. She often just tried to stay awake for longer and wandered around.  Anna always thought night was very beautiful..and perhaps not appreciated enough by many.  From time to time others may notice slight shadows in her behavior, which exist due to the traumatic experience of multiple rituals.  And a weird passion for mystic things. For the young noble dark crafts and magic are now rather interesting.  She also often talks about fire if she gets comfortable and stops being anxious.
